Article 1 Definitions practice Karin Brunner
Practice Karin Brunner, practice for AcuEnergetics® treatments and insightful conversations, established in Amsterdam, KvK number 66932998 0000 - hereinafter referred to as PKB. The client (m/f): the other party to PKB. Treatment: the agreement between the client and PKB.

Article 2 General
The client agrees to the general terms and conditions once an appointment has been made with PKB for the services offered. PKB is not responsible for damage, loss or theft of your personal belongings.

Article 3 Applicability
For all treatments and invoices between PKB and the client, under express exclusion of other general terms and conditions, only these PKB general terms and conditions apply. Acceptance of treatment implies that the client has accepted the applicability of these general terms and conditions for PKB.

Article 4 Third parties
PKB will never approach third parties (GP, physiotherapist etc.) for information about the client. If this is the express wish of the client, they will give written permission for this.

Article 5 Treatment period
The treatment period is discussed with the client. The number of treatments may change depending on the result of the treatment. The number of treatments is in principle determined by the wishes of the client.

Article 6 No show
If the client is unable to attend, and does not contact PKB in time (at least 48 hours before the appointment), the client will be charged the total amount of the invoice.

Article 7 Cancellation
Cancellation of appointments by the client must be made by telephone or email no later than 48 hours before the agreed time, otherwise a cancellation fee will be payable. The cancellation costs are 100% of the rate payable. PKB will, however, ensure that the reserved time is used for the client in question. If PKB is unable to fulfil the planned appointment, the client will be informed of this in good time.

Article 8 Responsibilities of client
The client is responsible for passing on important information regarding their own health. Such as: pregnancy, fever, flu, infectious disease, medication, hernia, infection, cancer, fractures, bruises, autoimmune disease, whiplash, ME, MS, ALS or any other serious illness. Changes in the state of health during the treatment process should also be mentioned. If in doubt about an existing condition or injury, the treatment can be discontinued and the client can be referred to a doctor. Follow-up treatments are then possible as soon as the treating doctor agrees. PKB is not liable for damage caused by failure to provide information about the above-mentioned conditions or other important information by the client. Nor will treatment at PKB replace medically necessary treatment.

 

Article 9 Confidentiality
PKB will treat all information relating to the client and all other information obtained in the course of carrying out its services as confidential and will not disclose this information to third parties, insofar as this does not interfere with the treatment. If, with the client's permission, contact is made with third parties (e.g. a GP), only necessary information will be shared.

Article 10 File management, right of access and copy of client file
PKB keeps an electronic file on the client concerned. Apart from PKB, only the client has the right to inspect this file. The client can also request a copy of their own file. The file will be stored locally on a secured computer. After treatment, the data will be stored for a maximum of 3 years; after this period, the information will be deleted or made anonymous.


Article 11 Termination of treatment
The client has the right to unilaterally terminate the treatment plan/treatment, even without stating the reason. PKB will ask the client to provide the reason, but the client is not obliged to answer. However, if PKB wishes to terminate the treatment, it must give the reason to the client.

Article 12 Billing and payment
The client agrees to the most recent rates as stated on PKB's website, or to another arrangement if this is explicitly made between PKB and the client. Each treatment should be paid afterwards in cash or by invoice. Payment via invoice must be made as soon as possible but no later than 14 days after the invoice date.

Article 13 Liability
PKB is not liable for not, not timely or not fully fulfilling its obligations due to shortcomings not attributable to PKB. PKB will do its utmost best to carry out its treatments with care. PKB does not guarantee its services and cannot guarantee the result intended by the client. PKB is also not liable if the client does not follow advice on medical care and therefore develops complaints. A treatment at PKB cannot neither replace a medical procedure, nor it this intended by PKB.

Article 14 Complaints
Complaints can be submitted in writing within two weeks after the treatment, by email or by post.

​

Article 15 Consent to conditions
The client tacitly and fully agrees to the conditions at the time the client makes an appointment with PKB. These conditions also apply to all follow-up treatments. In cases where these terms and conditions do not provide, the generally applicable rules and regulations and the legal provisions apply.
